Every year the Ice Block Race takes place on the Vaal River – it’s a 60km enduro boat race – freezing winter temperatures and at speeds over 120km per hour. Marlene Krause, Director of The Executive Brokers participated in the 2017 Ice Block held at Emerald Casino & Resort with fellow team members from Camping & Boating Centre – Zelda Fella and Melanie Pienaar. The turnout for this years event was fantastic, with over 80 entries. MK and team took 2nd place overall, smashing other teams in this 60km event. Their boat was a 5m Bucanneer Semi-Rigid fitted with a 200HP Yamaha engine. We’re so proud of this fantastic all-women team!
